Phase 1 – Meet and Greet
- Sitting down and getting to know each other is the key to a successful building relationship. Talking about you and your family, and what your lifestyle is about, will help us connect on a personal level so we can guide you toward the right design of your new custom home.
- Determining the overall vision of your custom home utilizing a “Wants vs Must Haves” approach.
- Matching expectations with potential project costs while establishing a “target budget” from the initial first meeting.
- Explanation of our scheduling process and our quality control checks utilized in each step of building your custom home.
Phase 2 – Concept / Design / Pricing
- Scheduling an onsite meeting is something that is done after the first meeting so North Homes can lay out your home location and review everything that you plan to do with your lot.
- We, as a team, begin the design process including floor plans, elevations, electrical plans, HVAC plans, and floor covering layout. Through this process, only you will decide what you want your money to go towards. Several revisions of your plans will be necessary, so they can match your vision of your new home while enjoying the creative process.
- Matching expectations with potential project costs while establishing a “target budget” from the initial first meeting.
- Make preliminary selections of your exterior and interior finish elements utilizing our in house Interior Designer and Selection Studio. In a relaxed environment, you will begin to see all your color palettes come together beautifully reflecting your own personal taste.
- Final pricing of your new custom home is determined thru bidding and consultation with our highly skilled craftsman and suppliers. This will better help control costs up front by eliminating many potential problems before construction even begins.
Phase 3 – Construction to Turn Key Completion
- Homeowners will approve the job cost budget and sign a Construction Agreement.
- Final revisions are made to the “Construction Set” of plans.
- Finalize selections of all finish elements are made with our in house interior designer.
- Lot is staked, plot plan is drawn up, permits are applied for, and constructions loan is closed.
- Construction BEGINS!!
- Owner Michael North will personally be involved and make regular visits to your job site. - Once the final touches are placed on your home, North Custom Homes will introduce you to your new home during our Homeowner Orientation.
